What are some science competitions similar to intel?

I just found out today that the deadline for intel science search is nov. 14 and I won’t be able to rush and create a nice report.

What are some other well known (or many not known) science competitions?

I live in Maryland. Does anyone know of regional science competitons?

I want to enter in order to win scholarships….not ribbons.

How many science classes does one need to pass in order to get a High School Diploma in N.Y?

I’ve passed 2 science classes (Living Environment & Chemistry) and passed the regents with above 65 score. How many more science classes (Regents Science Classes? Regular Science Classes?) do I need to take in order to get a diploma? Do I need to take Regents Science Classes?

Why are some people good at maths while others are not?

Why is it that some people seem to be born with a great mathamatical ability, while others struggle to comprehend it all. I tend to do better in subjects like Chemistry, physics, history and english while I struggle with maths. What is happening in the brain that is the causing people to be more gifted in some things while not as adept in others? Is it the ammount of blood that is reaching paticular areas, maybe some areas of the brain are not as developed as others. What is it that causes this?

What is a good maths activity that is good fun for 6-8 year olds ?

I am fdoing a maths day with some friends at school for 6-8 year olds and we have to make up a game or activity. We can use Paper, Dominoes, Cubes, Shapes Etc. Anything to do with maths really.

What jobs are available when you are interested in maths, english and chemistry?

I dont want an office job, i want 2 do somthing interesting like a pilot or a vet. I dont get low grades usually- im hopefully expecting a*s and a’s in maths, english , history and chemistry. I just cant find any jobs that appeal 2 my strengths and that would interest me- a lawyer just isnt my idea of fun. Please can anyone give me ideas?
